Pitch stability on CP-II ?

I have a CP-II on my 600 ESP and have the pitch stability setting at 45% to get it so that it does not "bounce" back and forth in flight. It still bounces just a little if I go from FF to a sudden stop but its not bad and only "bounces" a couple of times.
I have not tried to turn it down any further because I am concerned it may be to low.
Am I missing something or will it be ok to drop it another percentage point or two?
Will it being this low affect the way that it levels out the heli if needed?
With CP-II off I do not have any "bounce".
With CP-II on it is still very stable in a hover, it will hover practically hands off (very little stick input) for as long as I want it to.
I just don't want to try anything to fancy if CP-II can't help me recover when I need it (which is quit often).

Each helicopter requires its own settings, the factory defaults are a basic guide to start with.
tweaking the gains in order to get smooth flight is a given, so don't be worried
