Default Whats a guy to do???

OK its time to step up in size from my 450,s. The tough decision is choosing between the 500 ESP and the 600 ESP. Any pros and cons would be appreciated. I'm posting the same question in the 600 forum as I know some of us are very bias which is OK.

Biggest or only con would be battery cost, and slightly more $ for parts.
Not bias, just cheap

Another thing to look at is size of your flying area. I like to putter around in the backyard alot, and the 600 is a tad too big for my space. If you have the money and space, I would go with the 600.

I have a 5 acre flying area so space isn't an issue, Money well I would rather stretch a little if it means making the right decision.

the 500 is pretty insane ,

the new outrage 550 with 550 mm blades runs on 6s 5000 ma batts.

so it should tell you the t600 on 600mm main blades is actually IMOO under powered ... or weight challenged.,

the 500 is a great heli , with the metal bling on it , i cant fault mine.

600s are still pretty scary hovering close up ... the 500 isn't as scary

can you afford the cost of the lipo for a 600, and are willing to get a 8s setup ... i would go for the 600.
if cost is in any way an issue the 500 is tough to beat ...
i have owned and flown BOTH for a while ..either way you cant go wrong,
Jason

The Trex 600 on 6s is a little "docile". Need 8s or more to get enough power.

The Trex 500 is pretty powerful even stock.

I have owned both the 500 and the 600. I eventually sold the 600. The 500 is great!

Really good servos for a 425-class bird are $40~$60. The same for a 600-class bird would run from $80 to $200. That's for a single servo!

Batteries on the 425 are $100~$150. You will probably spend $300 on a single pack for the 600.

Actually I am leaning more towards the 600. After reading all the issues with static discharge, brown outs etc. I'm a little put off. In the 600 Forum this really dosent seem to be an issue. I crash enough from my own mistakes I dont really need any help do to a design flaw ( if thats what it is). Thanks all for your imput.

Then again you could get a Torque Tube for next to nothing and get rid of the problem on the 500 as well

Please send me your kit. I'd like to have it. Do not open anything, just send it to me.

You're beginning to feel sleepy, you feel like giving stuff away .... You REALLY feel like sending your new 500ESP kit to me....
