Why wouldn't it be ok?
I dont have a 600X but i have a Trex 600 Pro and the same ESC works ok on that.

On a 12 cell setup the 80 will work fine. Same one on my Align 600 as well.

I know HH sold the 600x combo kits with a CC 80 amp ESC so it should be fine. But in the manual they reccomend 100 amps or better.

I'm running Edge 120HV's on mine. I just figure I'd rather have the extra margin for safety.

HH sent same one for my 600 X and have had no problems so far. Not to take away from anyone that is using larger. Flown at least 30 to 40 flights. 7 minutes on timer, E-flite 3200mah batteries.

When the "Heli Pilot" magazine reviewed the 600 X they used the 80A and it gave a good review. I use a CC Edge 120 on mine but they had them on sale, so I went for it.

Well I crashed my 600x and mangled up the CC 120HV Edge, went looking for replacement but the price was just out of my reach.
I finally decided on the 80HV but I was seriously considering the Hobbywing Platinum Pro 120A-HV ESC.
My wallet dictated the outcome.
Cheers & thanks for your cdomments

I am, and am having no problems, I sport fly inverted rolls loops not power hungry 3d but, if I could fly harder I would with the 80hv

Flew the 80HV in an E5 on 12S with an Align 700mx (yes you can make this motor fit) before I sold the airframe and never once had any issues.
