Lower or upper part? Mine seems OK but which part separated from the bearing?

hmmmm.... intersting... that means the design relies only on locktite to secure the bearings. That is usually OK (Align got BEAT up on this approach though) until you crash and stress the locktite. Had you crashed previously? Did this happen in the air?

I will triple check mine THANKS!

No crash prior to this, but as I said, since I've put Locktite(green) on it I've had no bother. Maybe it just hadn't been done on assembly? One of those times where you'll try and pull it apart to see if it's loose, and if it won'r budge, you'll start to worry about it later
Also see in the pic, the flybar ball link tube came out, maybe because of the swash problem?
I CA'd that back in, and it's been fine since. Welcome to microworld
Stewart.
Yes it happened just lifting to a hover above the Persian rug

OK NEW videos posted! The links are in the first post but here they are as well...

OK, since this is a pre-built heli I thought I would go over some stuff and review the airframe. So these 3 segments are about the airfame Head, frames, belt, pinion, and tail!

Video Link ->Head and main shaft assembly (50 Megs)

Video Link ->Main frame overview and Pinion setup (45 Megs)

Video Link ->Tail Assembly check out (35 Megs)

Enjoy!

Bob,

Excellent work as usual... Thanks heaps for your hard work..

Servo wiring and general electronics placement on these small helis is a nightmare...
I have the V1 and had very little place to put anything.. so I think some good advice on
how to route the wiring and where to place everything for good CG and easy repair would be a godsend for future owners.

Also - maybe in the end you could do a review on the gaui blades vs the align 205 CF and platic blades...
I've tried the align 20f tapered plastic and they really dull the cyclic down on my ep200 vs the std gaui 200 plastic blades due to the added weight of the aligns.. this may be a good thing for beginners... definitely not good for 3D..

I would be interested in your comparison of the gaui bldes vs the align CF as the align are supposed to be quite good and light.... and relativly cheap compared to the FRP blades for the ep200.

AND...... if you get really bored and want another chapter - a vid on beefing up the motor (maybe a 5150 or scorpian) and issues/requirements associated with that... The reason I ask is that I have the V1 and find it just that little bit lacking for nice inverted - so a little (maybe 20-30%) more power would make this heli a masterpiece.. I run 2S so if there is a motor that could use 2S 800mah batteries and give that little extra punch would be fantastic...

BTW RDLohr has a nice tray that mounts above the lower tray to hold the Rx.

Hey Bob,

I'd like to see frame alignment. I've had trouble with the main shaft alignment with the frame being off a little bit.

Setting the motor mesh. I'm not sure the paper method works here does it?

Head setup. With stuff this small the setup really has to be correct.

After you get the basic bird in the air I would love for you to cover the 2 blade FES system with the GU-365.

Love all the videos! Where do you find time to do all of them!
