Default 800E Pro batteries

I am thinking about getting a 800 Pro but I am NOT going to buy expensive batteries.
Dont mind using 2 batts instead of a stick pack.
I know some of you are going to say that it is like putting 90+ octane instead of race fuel in a Twin Turbo Lambo but you get my idea.
Would like to know what Hobby KIng and similar batts have been used with good results in the 800E Pro.
And if any of you share your packs with your 700.

I guess that all depends on how you fly, Alva?
When I still had my 700, I shared packs and didn't see any down side in doing it. I had 2xTurnigy 5000mah 40c singles, an Aplus 5200mah 60c stick pack and 2x Revolectrix 5000mah 60c singles. All flew fine in the 800, especially the higher c rated packs, but for my type of sport flying the Turnigys were good too.

The 800 is nice as it has a much taller battery tray, which is particularly helpful if wanting to squeeze some (usually larger) higher mah packs in in future also.

We have tried Gens Ace 30 & 60c, Thor batts,Sky lipo and Spyder pack. I got the sky lipos thinking I was gonna save money in the very beginning with my sons 700. He puffed them within a month. I looked at the 40c rating and went on online to find out there 50c max burst. All the other ones have held up well I use a Very good charger also I think thats key to batteries life.

I already have a Powerlab 8 + board with 2 PS in series so charging is not a problem.
I think that the "good" batteries are way overpriced, they sure perform but I rather have 4 or 5 pairs of batts than than 2 or 3 and beat the crap out of them.

I have learned from past purchases that You get what you pay for. With that said i bought 4 5000mah 60c gensace packs. They are perfect, i also use 3300 mah 60c gensace in my 600! But i started buying 60c because all my 30c packs would puff up bad. I still have some 3300mah 30 c packs left and use them for the 800 for about 3 minutes . This heli is so effecient the packs don't get over discharged and come back barely warm. All I can say is my gensace don't puff but all my other lipos do.

i currently dont have an 800. but with my 700 i recently switched over to Thor batteries and they are excellent. i have some of the 45c and a set of 65c and both are great.

Pulse ultra are some good batteries as well. if your going to drop 2 grand on a heli dont make a mistake in buying cheap batteries. you dont need to get thunderpowers "way overpriced" but at the same time the cheap turnigys are no good either.

I'm planning on buying Turnigy A-Spec for 800.
I have them on my Trex 500 6s 2650mah. Runs sweet.

Default 800E Pro batteries

Gens Ace 5300s 30C. I have 4 sets. They work flawlessly. I also just bought a 12S Pulse Stick on here and and happy with it as well. But $ vs quality Gens Ace all the way.

the HK batteries fit in my 700, but the width is the annoying part (they work, but it's a hassle).

And when Gens Ace has a sale, you're really not saving money by going with hobbyking.
