Outrage battery help
Hi guys
I have an old Outrage XP 6s 3300 mah battery. It finally died after a little over a year of use. No complaints it has about 300 + flights on it & no I'm not joking. My question is the number 1 cell is dead according to the charger. I opened the end with the balance wires to see it anything came unsoldered., I had this happen with one of my other batteries. But this was not the issue. I was wondering if i could remove the bad cell & rewire it as a 5s battery. If any one can help me identify the number one cell & how to do it that would be great. Otherwise it's destined for the "Salt water bath", then the trash LOL Thanks Jim R

Easiest way to track down the first cell is to measure the cell voltage relative to the black wire, the one with 3-4V will be the first cell. You might also be able to follow the wiring, the red wire closest to the black wire on the balancer will be connected to the first cell. But even a highly damaged cell shouldnt read 0 volts.

That's why I thought something had come unsoldered but I checked & no. Cell # 1 reads 0.00. Other 5 have readings.
I checked all the solder joints again & they seem solid. One does appear to have burn marks on it however, but solder joint is intact. Any suggestions ?? Jim R
