The controller wires are not as critical, Getting back to your problem,How much length did you remove from the motor wire? Do you have a ohm meter to test continuity of the motor leads.

I removed about half of the length from one of the wire, it was cut half of its thickness after the crash. I did not check its full integrity since the motor was turning properly on the bench.

Yes I have a have a Ohm meter, I will check.

Shortening one of the leads one or two cm will not be so bad, so the pic on the Kosmik connection looks fine to me.
It is however advisable to keep the leads equal lengths when you are cutting the original exit wire in half.
Very important as already mentioned to scrape off the enamel entirely. The solder will never burn it off and you will have a very bad connection if you did not do this.

Puttputt,
From your screen shots that I just looked at, your gear ratio seems to be set to 1.00 : 1.
I haven't looked at Kosmik settings for a long time, but is this correct?
Hope this helps.
Andy

Ok I have a new motor in the TDR the wires are the same length as I actually have them directly on the Kosmik.

Same problem persist. Now I got it down to an art to get around the problem:
I spool up once the blades rotate and the Kosmik shuts down then while the blade are still turning I spool up again and all is well.

BUT and this is one I do not understand if I spool up when the blades are still rotating fast, the Kosmik will shut down. I have to wait after the first spool up for the blades to rotate but be individually visible and then my second spool up works.

This is maddening.

Has to be a fault in the Kosmik. Kontronik esc are very precious, if theyre not happy, they shut down, the Jives had a microprocessor just dedicated to this.

Have you tried reprogramming the firmware? If so then its back to KT for service

That will be my next step along with going through mode 1 and 4 again just in case.
For now I want to fly my TDR with the Kosmik to see the difference with the Mezon I had before.

I just hope not to have a shut down in flight. But at least I have an optiguard for that.

The BEC is bullet proof, even when the ESC shuts down. Never heard of a KT BEC failure!

Good to know and reassuring.
