Default Eagle Tree e-Logger RPM 430xl setup

Hi all,

Need a little help setting up my Brushless Motor sensor on my Rex 450se v2.
It has the stock motor - 430XL

Can you guys confirm that the 430xl has 6 poles,
and now... Im using the smaller of the two pinions - 12 T

Motor Pinion Gear:12T/13T
●Main Drive Gear:150T
●Autorotation Tail Drive Gear:106T
●Tail Drive Gear:25T
●Drive Gear Ratio:1:12.5:4.24/1:11.5:4.24

Can anyone translate this for me? what value to I need to enter in the the elogger software
Thanks Guys
N.

Yep, 6 pole.
Divide 150 from the main gear by the pinion size 12 = 12.5 (enter that on the eagletree software).
I also set the trigger on mine to start recording when the RPM reaches 200rpm... worked well for me.
If you ever go 13T, add all the decimals 11.5384615 for a closer reading...

Hmmm ok, connected up the RPM sensor, and I am getting it hitting 37,000 RPM
Any ideas?

I have 6 poles, and 12.5 : 1 configured in the software.

Is that bad? Works out to a 2960 HS. Is that not what you were going for?

That is your motor RPM, sounds about right... I think you're looking for the headspeed rpm... there is no on screen gauge for the headspeed (they should have one), there is only the numeric option. Anyway, the graph is the important part, just pick "Prop RPM/Headspeed" on the 2D Graph.

ah ha, ok I feel like a twit.

That's Great to know Thank you both very much. I was looking for head speed, because I knew there is no way 37,000 was right for Head Speed.

Thank you again,

N.
