Cylinder Base Leak?
I have run a little over a half gallon of fuel through my TRM 231 adjusting the fuel mixture a little richer every flight. Rpm has been steadily picking up the more I fly it. After about 4 to 5 tanks I noticed fuel-oil accumulating around the lower portion of the cylider base at the mating surface to the case. Has anyone else seen this? This thing is sloppy rich with a constant amount of smoke and oil that needs to be wiped off the end of the pipe every flight. Maybe too rich?
Thanks

I noticed some of the same with my motors (TRM as well as stock) since I started using the Hatori pipe. I investigated very closely and found that it was coming from a leak at the pipe adapter and was just getting transferred around to the cylinder. :glasses2: It does not take much of a leak for it to accumulate there.
-What oil, fuel and ratio are you using?? BTW- sounds like you are on the CORRECT path to success!
