Default 2013 Mid America Fun Fly May 31st - June 2nd Grosse Ile MI

Hello Friends,

I am pleased to announce the 2013 Mid America R/C Heli Fun Fly scheduled for May 31st thru June 2nd, 2013. Next to the Jamboree this is the premier event in the Midwest!!!

This years' event will again take place at Grosse Ile Municipal Airport on the island of Grosse Ile, Mi.

The runway is 8850 feet long offering us an incredible amount of space for our flight line. The event will be held in conjunction with the Grosse Ile Island Fest also occurring at the airport during the Fun Fly.

Moving the event to the airport offers several new amenities:
Night Flying*** With a special spotlight show***
Camping
Motor Home Parking *** No Fees***
Full Scale Helicopter Rides
Full Scale Plane Rides
Carnival Games and rides for the family.

After a very successful event last year with over 156 pilots at the event and well over $15,000.00 in raffle prizes, I am determined to make this year’s event even better. Look forward to more pilots, more prizes, more spectators, more food vendors, more evening activities and more good times!!!

I am so bummed that Greg and I will have to miss it next year, as we will be in Washington D.C. for his niece's wedding that weekend...or in Georgia awaiting the arrival of a new family member if he or she decides to arrive early. We had a blast last year, though, and you're missing out if you don't attend!

There are several raffles that are only for pilots.
There ia also a raffle that is only for pre-registered pilots.

Pre-registered pilots receive the event t-shirt free with their registration.

Registering and flying support the event. An event of this magnitude is extremely expensive to produce and without the support of the local pilots it simply cannot happen. There is absolutely no reason to NOT fly. Everyone in this hobby starts out in the same place, I have known most of todays hottest pro pilots since they were hovering.

And lastly this is a charity event the proceeds go to charity.

Take care,

Big D.
