Default Rx power lead question

Hi

I just received a couple of RX 2200 2s packs. I was wonder which power leads was better to cut off the jst or servo and put on a ec2 or ec3 to connect to a cc bec? The jst wire looks a little thicker does anyone know if it is? I would also assume that you could charge the pack through either lead?

Also on one of the packs had some of the covering separated right where the leads go into the pack. Does anyone think that this may be a problem?

Hard to see what's on the end of the "larger wire". But that's what I would use. For charging, you'll need the main lead as well as the balance connector.

If it were me, I'd use either a receiver pack or BEC. But not both. A BEC can fail and an Rx can be accidentally run down during flight. With a BEC and an RX pack now you have both risks. Obviously a 2s LiPo may not work for models that need 6v. A LifePO4 would be better in that application. To run the BEC, I would power it from the flight pack. If you have a 12s setup, run the BEC from only one pack. Use the one that has the ground connected to the ESC.

The "Hole" in the red wrap looks like it was melted. How is anybody's guess.
Perhaps the battery vented? Or, just sloppy assembly?
