Another X-mas upgrade
I have a 500 PRO EFL and a 500 ESP EFL..the ESP had a bent head block , so I decided to go DFC on it to lower the head and try something new...I like a lower head speed, so the ESP is a good choice for the upgrade because it has the higher tail gear ratio.
Here it is...lowered the head an inch. |

Nice! That's a pretty sweet canopy you've got too!

Thanks man...the orange canopy came with the pro that I bought to replace the ESP that got destroyed by a radio tower interference. It actually fits on the ESP better than the pro....

I like the vivsibility, but the color fades from loctite or sitting in the sun. one side is pretty faded from storing it on the dash of my boat.

Have you crashed it yet? How did it hold up? Does it seem as sturdy to you as carbon fiber? I'm asking because I have the green frame, but don't really have enough flights on it yet to have an informed opinion.

I have crashed the ESP too many times....both of the crashes that broke the frames were horrible, so I dont know if CF would have held up or not...On the last one, just the front section under the battery tray broke, so I was able to splice it with epoxy. This seems to be the weak point because of the way they did the diamond cutouts.

Alright. Sounds pretty good. That's the same place my CF frame broke too, so I think it's a common weak point, especially if you go in nose first.
