Since the 04514 175 tooth main gear seems not to exist on earth any longer ... does anyone know if the gear from the new 800 could be used with the XXtreme if I swapped the OWB and pinion? I'm ok for now but looking for the inevitable day when the herringbone gear is no more and the heli is perfect minus that one part ...

If the logo 700 and 800 are identical, I have swapped the logo 700 main gear, OWB and pinion to 700xx ones. That requires me to move the motor plate forward (existing design allows) as the 700xx main gear was larger. What u are doing will require the motor to be shifted backwards, but i do not think the 700/800xx frame allows or at least the holes are not there.
