I just got one of these for myself, kind of a late christmas present. I went to the Hobby People by my house just to get my son a $10 plastic motorcycle, and they had a 250 Super Combo on the shelf. I could not make myself leave the store without it.

I have a question though, the only battery I could find for it was an Eflite 3S 800mAh 15C, is this going to be good enough or should I order some stronger packs?

Gonna go eat dinner and then stay up all night putting it together. Probably maiden it in the living room at about 2am.

The eflite one will be fine, not the best but i saw a video of a guy doing 3D with it seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nit9D...e=channel_page
Buy the align packs when you can, they have GREAT power and are only 25 bucks

The E-flite 15C battery is new for the CP Pro2, and it should be much better than the one the guy is using in the video. The 250 only pulls maybe 12 amps unless you're really kicking it, and that's the continuous limit of that battery. If you're sure you have the new E-flite battery and not the old 10C one, then it should be fine for basic flying. I've used the old one for hovering and tuning, and it was fine. I noticed no difference when I started using the Align packs - but I'm not doing any hard flying with it.

Hey Jazz - thanks for the TREx250 build videos, great work!

In your GP750 setup you have some English instructions (I had to get my gyro from Hong Kong as Australia ran out and only have Chinese instructions). Any thoughts on where I can get a copy, especially as 'your' instructions have more detail than the Super Combo instruction book.

Can't wait to get this thing flying!

Cheers,

Wow I'm not sure - the sheet I have does have the Chinese on the back of it. Maybe check the other side? I think I covered the whole setup in the video though. If you have questions just let me know.

that was me flying with that e-lite pack. it is the new 12c pack and i will have to say it sucks. it does not hold its voltage as well as my outrage 800. heres the difference with the outrage pack.

Thanks for the quick response. Other side is Chinese too! I'll just work off your video, don't know what I would have done otherwise.

The Eflite pack I got is 800mAh, and it says its 15C, I bought it because it was the only option available to me locally. It was fine for what I needed it for, to fly/hover it in my front yard to get it dialed in. I flew it about 6 times yesterday and got it set up real nice, just some really mild slow FF and some piros and pitch pumping to get the gyro set up.

I can see the difference in your vids.

I only bought one Eflite pack cause I pretty much knew it would probably suck. There is a store in San Diego, which is a 50 mile drive for me that has 3s850 30C packs for $30. I'm gonna go get 4-6 of them Saturday and see what the 250 can really do.

Maybe a 16t pinion, and some CF blades too.

the 16t makes a huge difference in the performance of this little guy. and im yet to try the carbon blades because im waiting on a part. but when im just doing basic flight, that pack will do just fine. its just when the pack is under load it sucks.

good luck

Turtonp, Here's a link to the manual for the gyro. http://file.espritmodel.com/document...lign_gp750.pdf

Jazzy, Thanks for the vids, they were helpful for my build although it was very much like the trex 450 sev2 less the adjustable rotor head links. You mentioned in your vids that you couldn't find a ball link sizer, I have one that's 3.5mm from microheli that I had used for an old CP pro that worked great. Here's the model number from their site www.microheli.com Model Number: MH-T003

It does fly nice very locked in. I'm still fiddling though. I don't think that ever stops does it??

Enjoy and happy new year! :glasses2:

Your signature made me laugh my A++ off. Spent 2 months on holiday in NZ (both North and South) in 1989 and met many of you Aussies. Great people you are! What a blast. People are so wonderfully nice and accommodating down-under. Wish it could be that way in the states! Cheers mate!
