Hmmmm... 5C charge rate too.

6S 3000 40C available also: http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...0mAh_6S1P_40C_

While tempting I think I'll wait for the next batch before diving in. My 6x 2650/30C Turnigy batts are doing very well, 20 cycles each on them and they still perform as new, all have less than 8 milliohm internal resistance (all were between 4 and 6 milliohm when fresh), and come down balanced with less than <.008v difference from the high to low cell at the worst observed case.

Great batteries... wish I could say the same about the 4X Turnigy 6S 5000 30C packs I ordered. 2 packs had bad cells right out of the box!

It's strange that it doesn't mention anything about being able to charge at 5C, Like it does with the Rhino batts.
I wonder if this was an omission on their part, or are they using a different chemistry.

Why so heavy? 475 grams! $63 shipped (3-4 weeks) or $76 (1-2 weeks) ... customer service & warranty (30 days from shipping date) are virtually non existent. Also, it looks like they are using 12G wire, completely inadequate for a potential 106A constant.

For comparison, the TP G4 45C 6s 2650mah weights in at 434grams (add about 2grams for a connector), 1 year USA warranty, $160 shipped.

I don't understand why they have changed the main connector on these AGAIN? They started with Deans, then bullets, and now yet another square yellow connector. Quite annoying for customers who buy several Zippy/Turnigy's over a period of time to have to keep soldering new connectors and there doesn't seem to be any reason for it.

Anyway, I thought the Zippy brand was being phased out in favour of Turnigy?

I ordered 2 for less than 50 they are worth a try... if they are as good as the 30C then it will be a bargain!

It does specify 5C charge rate... look in the spec table under the picture.

I doubt that you would be able to control 106A constant, I am peaking at 100 - 110 amp on my 20C packs for like 2-3 seconds, and believe me the thing is dynamite. Average draw is 30 amps for 600 watt so that would be more realistic sustained figure.

As I have 8 packs I would rather save the $720-$800 and use the Turnigy/Zippy, and use the spare cash to buy another 2 ESP's or nice Logo 600 or a spare Trex 700.

But you could buy 2 good quality packs for the same amount of money, charging at 3C gives you a flight every 15 minutes....

these ARE good quality packs! oh and the 40C are 5C chargable now too

the other side of course is for those 2 "good quality" packs you could by 4-5 of these you wouldn't need to charge at the field and combined they will out last 2 packs regardless who akes them

not exactly, the packs need to cool. plus it would be more like 20 minutes for 3C. 5C is great for a number but not many chargers are going to go up to those amps and not many peopl will have a supply that can do it.
