600 battery connections
What is everyone doing with the battery and ESC connections on the 600? Is anyone using the included connectors or changing them for something else? Are Deans connectors appropriate?
How about the RX battery...Where can I get the male connector to make a charging pigtail? |

what i've done is change all my battery connections to deans connectors, on the bec, esc , bec battery , and the main 6S2P battery, this works fine, As far as the charging , i just bought the Thunder power 1010 charger with the 210 balancer and data cord , there is a problem tho , the align battery does not plug into the 210 balancer, the battery is a single 7 pin config , the TP 210 balancer wants a separate 4 and 6 pin config . i've emailed align to see about getting a male connector for their bat so i can make my own patch cord without cutting off the align connector , in the interim , if you want to balance you battery , there is a new inexpensive balancer that came out that plugs right into the align battery , it's made by Astro flight Inc, and is called the Astro 106 "blinky" balancer , i paid $25 for mine , now i can balance while charging until the whole patch cord problem is solved... Hope this helps.

I read somewhere that Deans are not good for this large of an amp draw. Is this correct? What are the specs on the Deans connectors?

We checked the Deans web site and they have no specs there. But, we are using Deans Ultra Plugs on our T Rex 600 with no problems. They handle the amp draw easily. Guys are also using Deans on their Minature Aircraft Ion without any problems.

THe tips of the deans burn down to the point of needing replacement after about 200+ flights depending on the ESC and how it handles the spark. The ones I am running now on my 77-O in the Ion-X could use replacing now.

I changed mine to deans, but If you take the stock ones apart, they are just bullet connectors in a plastic housing. I found this out because I didn't want to waste any of the really short wires they give you. I actually added some length to my battery wire and soldered them together with a good hot saturation point so it will be making a very good connection.
I bought the 4 pin and 6 pin balance leads so If anyone finds out the wiring sequence, please post. I checked from the brown wire out, and each two cells you check, you gain one cell of voltage, but still do not wan't to take a chance on hooking it up wrong. |

the every 2 cell for one cell vols is due to the fact its 2p. Kinda like taking 2 9v bats and the clips, if you put neg to neg and pos to pos it still reads 9v. If you put one pos to neg of the other then you will get 18v. I dont know enough about the tp balancer for how to do the pinout. I hope tp will soon sell an adaptor for it.
