Correct, the NX4 uses from the Swashplate up all X4 Rotor head and parts. If you have a swash leving tool for a Trex 500 that will work as well. 8mm Mainshaft.

Frome the Tail boom back is all X4 parts as well Including Front Bevel and Rear Bevel Gears.

Man.. I thought I was getting out of nitro, but after seeing this, I decided that not only am I going to keep my 600N, but I will also add this to my collection. Something about smoke and tuning an engine keeps me hanging in there. Maybe I'll try the msh brain on this thing.

Yeah, I was thinking about the msh brain myself. I have a spare SK720 that I have after moving everything to the AR7200BX.
I have no idea about RPM sensors and all that fun stuff ( trying to follow in the other thread that was started). I don't even know if RPM sensors work with the AR7200BX which is why I am leaning towards the brain or SK720

I just got my OS.37 yesterday. This is the first manual that I might have ever read I know nothing about nitro engines so this will be a fun experiment.

I really, really want one of these but I honestly think it will be very underpowered.
In the YouTube vids, it looks a little slow and when you compare specs it's quite a large difference between an OS37 and say an HK-3226-1400KV.

Scorpion
Max Continuous Power - 1770 Watts (~2.4 Hp)

OS37
Output: 1.38 hp @ 18,000 rpm

That's quite a marked difference.
I know that absolute power is not necessarily what nitro is about and I seriously want one of these things, but is it going to be a slug?

One thing I learned is flying a nitro requires more technique and you cant rely on powering out of manuevers than the electric counterparts. For instance take a guy who just flies electrics with a monster torque motor. They can do tic tocs all day with little collective management as the motor will carry them through. Nitro on the other hand will require more discipline. You have to learn to use more cyclic pitch rather than collective to carry you through. But mastering to fly a nitro will make you a better pilot.

My 700N puts out around half the power that my 600Pro puts out, yet if flies great and it is agile for its size. Can I do tic tocs as fast and for as long as my 600Pro? No, not yet, but I'm working on it and trying to pick up where my engine is not happy with me and easing off of the collective and flicking it over with more cyclic. Guess what... when I switch back to the 600Pro, I can really tell the difference that the collective training has made. On the nitro, you can't "cheat" with just more throttle... you have to be smoother and the engine will reward you with consistent power and great flight times.

If you watch the videos of Bobby or JC flying the NX4, you will see that this thing DOES have the power to move... you just need to adjust to it and learn how to squeeze it out of the engine without bogging it. Its a whole new facet of the hobby for me and it is the reason I've sold my electrics (all except the 600Pro) and going to nitro.

Damn... that's the field I fly at! Not happy I missed that... I was on vacation. I hope he brings it back soon, I'd love to see it in person.

Yeah, I am not too happy with initial price. I have been flying for 1 year now and I spent sooo much money already.

I need to find a way to justify they NX4

I am paying the price because I wanted something WAY different that you don't see a million of at the field every time you go. I had the RCDN conversion and it was a big hit at the field, everybody was like.... WTF is that! Then they came close and were like, T-REX huh...

Saw him fly it yesterday. It's broken in now and he's flying it much harder. I tried taking a vid but I couldn't keep up.
