Default Rescue modes

So I discovered the hard deck cannot save you from very hard 3 d maneuvers. There is always a delay after penetrating the barrier before the GPS recuses. So then I tried rescue now, by applying it to a momentary switch, I found out it works, but there too is like a delay. Basically I'm looking for something that rescues at a more instant rate.

Were you using the hard or soft deck? The hard deck will penetrate before kicking in. The soft deck will calculate your approach to the deck and slow or stop you before you penetrate it.

Also, the rescue modes rely on your control rate settings. The lower your control rate, the slower the heli will right itself once SL from a switch or deck is activated. My control rates are set to 260deg per second with 200% self level, so my heli will rescue at 520 degrees per second.

Also, please remember that your gains for the GPS will also play a roll in this.

the only gps gain is the altitude hold gain. I don't know how this effects it. I believe this is only for when the heli gets rescued and is sitting there or when you piut it in position hold mode.
