my second g20 is on the way and I think I am going to run the wires under like you did. but I am putting my rx pack in the rear tray. I dont want to have to pull the canopy off to remove the pack for charging. rx its self is going up front.

Very nice! Thx for the pics! Ok, probably a dumb question, but you are running your ignition and radio off the same battery? I was under the impression that was not recommended. Are you doing any thing special to keep the ignition from interfering with the radio? Are you running spektrum?

I have a deans conector by the switches so I don't have to take off canopy to charge and yes I run both off one battery. 8FG and CGY750

does any one know whats up with those frame braces on the new g20 kits. the ones pictured their on Eppler's heli. I just got my second g20 kit the other day and it came with them. do they make a difference if they are their. I like the look with out them.

They are there to add rigidity against the frame twisting while rolling and such. I personally do not use them on my G20 or G30s.

I have heard that some people are adding an extra X brace in the upper part of their frame between the canopy mounts. Are you doing that instead?

Yes I added a cross frame support between the canopy supports.

Those frame braces also insure that the motor/clutch that are in the lower frame, will not move (including vibrations) differnetly then the bell in the upper frame. This ensures they will always be tied together in a more rigid manner which will increase the lifespan of the clutch, clutch bell and all supporting bearings and bearing seats.

This was first used on the great (exensive) FAI/F3C helis many years ago.

I think this added rigidity is more important on the G-10 framed helis then on the more expensive C/F framed models.

Do you get these supports from the market or do you construct them.

I picture a bearing type x-over support vertically mounted is that how it goes?

Thanks

Brian

my 2nd radikal is now built. I now have a fly bar one. if the weather is nice I will get it out for its first flight tomorrow. this was more of a budget build. stock muffler no air filter and century wooden blades.

As you can probably tell from my other post, I've got something going on that I fried two of my cyclic servos. I decided to pull the wiring apart and look for damaged wires or anything that would indicate a problem. After I did that I decidied to try cleaning up my wiring. I'm happy with how it looks except for the lower rear tray where everything goes into the RX. It's better, but not great.
