Gaui 550 help

I have a gaui 425 which I stretched to a 550 but I'm looking at making it a 500 and would like a bit of advice please.

had a look for parts and I'm struggling a bit. Am I right in thinking I need to change the tail boom and belt to a 550 short boom? (Part nos 204192 & b65002) Also replace the tail rod and blades to 475 or 500mm

do I need to replace the flybar/paddles and tail blades?

currently have a cut down trex550 canopy but I think it looks too big, will the gaui canopy fit 3000?

...Mid Boom with 435/500 or 520 blades works well. TRex 550 or 600 canopy works too just cut the top down a bit to help it look even. 85mm tail blades work well and you could use up to 92mm CF tail blades. Up the Head speed with a gear change/larger pinion.

I was thinking about that again recently - it's been about 3 years now - must go and check if it is still up there

I fly around about 2,000 - 2,100 HS, but my flying has moved on and I could do with more ...

I was thinking for about 2300 ro 2400 HS with a turnigy motor 1300kv and 1500 watt's, with 13 / 50 / 19 gearing

Davy, I have a Gaui belt that I think is for the mid boom, 500mm blade setup. Will have to double check on the tooth count but its free if you want it. Going to check that now. PM w/a mailing address and I'll send it in a padded envelope via first class. No charge.
522XL belt. It does look slightly used but no signs of fraying or stretching. Been sitting inside a plastic bag along with all the other spares since I bought the HeadHunter frameset here on HF.
