Default Parallel Charging ?

I'm trying to determine my flight time on my E7 running 2 6S 4000's in series.

I flew four minutes, landed and parallel charged the two packs, only put back in 3600 mah so do I divide that by two giving me 1800mah per pack that I used or 45%.

Is my math right?

Depends on your charger. If you are using a Powerlab and told the charger you were parallel charging 2 packs then 3600 would be for each pack. If you are not using a Powerlab, and you charged both packs in parallel as the title suggests, hen divide by the packs in parallel as you have.

Sounds like you have some headroom in your flight times or head speed. What are you running on that E7? Just got the TT kit from Ralph, haven't put mine in. I was hoping to get away with a slightly lower headspeed (1900-1950) than the team guys like to run.

Hacker 470, 15 tooth pinion, 2100 HS and the new TT. I was just putting around nice and easy trying out the new TT which works very well. I figure I'll end up around 5 to 5.5 minutes with these 4000's which isn't too bad.

I have 4 more 6S 4000's (gen ace) that are brand new, haven't soldered them up yet. I'm having a little buyers remorse and wish I went with the 5300's. I'm trying to exchange them for 5300's but Hobby Partz customer service is a joke. They basically make you jump through many many hoops for any kind of a return or exchange, I'm sure they do this on purpose to get you to give up.

Let me know how you make out with the Gens Ace packs. I picked up some Spyder 5300s (30c) and some TP 4400 (65c). The surprising thing is the weight is not that different between the two. I looked at the GA packs and they were similar in weight to the Spyders. I may need a third flight pack and may try some GA packs for variety.

I've also got the Hacker 470, went with the 14t. Hoping for 6 minutes at 1900-1950.

My math says you can get 7 minute flights with 20% reserve.

That would be awesome but I was just flying around easy on that flight, no hard stuff at all so that needs to be factored in. Don't know how to calculate that so I'm just going to keep upping the time until I hit my 80%.
