Default 2008 IRCHA Jamboree August 14th 15th 16th 17th

Jamboree 2008
Your IRCHA board is pleased to announce the dates for the 2008 IRCHA Jamboree are confirmed:

August 14th 15th 16th 17th

Here is a lodging information for your stay in Muncie.
http://ircha.org/wp-content/uploads/...ncie_info1.pdf

IRCHA has explored the options and is pleased to announce that a pit area will be set aside for the scale and vintage fliers for the 2008 jamboree. This will enable each faction to share and to help any other pilots wishing to enter the scale world or dust off that old machine in the corner of the basement. Since its inception, the intent of the jamboree was to be a forum for members to share knowledge & experience for the advancement of the hobby. This is what has helped the organization grow through the years and to provide a common bond for the future of model helicopters.

I wanted to take a moment to remind all those that attend the 2008 jamboree of this fact. In past years it has been echoed on the forums about the pilots inability to fly much. With the 2.4 technology upon us, last year I actually heard some pilots saying “even with the record attendance, I flew more than I ever have at past jamborees”. This is awesome! We should also remind ourselves that it is not all about flying. We can fly at our local fields, but we may not have the level of experience and knowledge so close to us all in one location! So make use of the seminars we set up for the pilots. Take a few minutes and look at the FAI, Scale and Vintage groups.

We will be announcing key sponsors and attending the Toledo Expo in April…. this promises to be another record year for helicopters!

Enjoy the event, and soak it ALL up!

Dave Millner
IRCHA President

I'll be there! Already got the hotel and pre-registration out of the way. Looking forward to it. Now I just have to get a whole lot of stick time in this summer so I'm not embarrased to fly there!

EFS? I don't know if you're joking or not (since you've been flying for a while) but the IRCHA jamboree is huge man.

Forgive my ignorance but the reason I added the '?' after EFS was because I didn't know what it was an acronym for. Could it possibly be 'Erickson Flight School'? If that the case then I'll take your comment as a joke. Otherwise, I've been thinking about it for the past day or so and cannot fir the life of me figure out what EFS is.

EFS is more than just some letters, its an institution, a learning center, a commons of fight information and most important -- just one big frickin joke !

EFS - where your dreams turn into nightmares !

I was thinking about making the drive and schooling all you little girls. Only thing is that it's fairly close [in time] to IRCHA and every time I fly a crash is inevitable.
