Default Been sitting for a few years. Back in the air?

It's the heli that's been sitting for years, not me. Just wanted to get that straight.

Could someone advise the best way to clean the fuel system of a heli that's been sitting for at least 3 years with some fuel left in the tank that long. And it did run just prior so the old fuel is throughout the system and needs to be flushed out.
Thanks for any help!!!

The old fuel is (most likely) not your biggest problem.
Rust on the main bearing is going to be a bigger problem.

However, start by flushing to tank, fuel lines, carb with rubbing alcohol. If you used a good fuel with synthetic oil, then it should be an easy clean out.

Rubbing alcohol is 70% buy volume alcohol and 30% water, so you definitely need to follow up with a good does of Marvel Mystory Oil on the internals of the motor.
If the motor has a regulator, do not pump the oil through the engine fuel inlet and into the carb - the oil will eat at the silicone diaphragm.

If the motor is still hard to turn, it may need to be torn apart and all the internal parts cleaned.

Reassemble everything and see if it will start.
