Default what size allan wrench does the SR come with

trying to take the tail motor out and those little alan screws are tight, either stripped the alan screw or the alan wrench, looks a little like both, so i should probably get some high quality ones for it. hex drivers would be the way to go.

The ALLEN screw is 1.5, lol, I bought a sweet set of tools from eflight I use them for every thing. They are still holding up! They came in a pack of like 6 and they include everything for the sr and any 400/450. Best purchase I've made

I didn't see the Eflite set until after I purchased a few tools individually. The Dynamite brand is nice, only $3-4 each. I got the 1.5mm Allen driver, Philips driver, and 4mm nut driver (which doesn't have any room to fit the nut for the main gear, even though that is 4mm - damn)

It is nice to have good tools, makes it much easier to work on the heli. You do need 2 Allens to remove the feathering shaft, so get a set just for that.

If those are the ones that come with the combo kits I wouldn't get them because I've hears they strip real easy. The dynamite one are good also, I would go for them, but the flight ones which I found at my LHS have everything I need, nit sure about the dynamite .

They look nice but I am not sure you need most of those sizes. Most of the SR is 1.5 hex, philips, and 4mm nuts. There are some other sizes though, so don't base it all off of my say so.

On your 400 you will need the 2.5 for the blades. I know on a 450 the whole frame uses 2.0

glad it came with a 2.5 than. i just hope they dont stip out easily like some one mentioned, that was the main reason for ordering tools, i want nice ones that wont strip out and make working on stuff a little easier.

I know the E-flite ones don't strip out. I know the real tiny ones that come with the Trex 250 do.

Damn it. i figured it would be the other way around i guess i will find out. i hate to think i just threw 20 buck down the drain. maybe these are better since they are the ones that they sell separately.

i am sure the ones they throw in the box are the most cost effective ones for the company to hand out. just like my crappy e flight alan wrenches that came with the helis

well i got my fingers crossed.

The ones that come with the helis are the super tiny ones the size of a finger. It looks like the ones you ordered are full sized. I just know the E-flite ones are near impossible to strip.

I just took another look at the Eflite tools on their website. They look identical to the Dynamite ones, just with blue accents instead of red. If that is the case it is a good thing because my Dynamite tools are great and show no signs of stripping. I kind of wish I got the Eflite set because it looks so cool.
