Default Anyone using the 12FG?

Hi guys,

I'll be upgrading my radio(from a dx7) to a 12fg, but can't see much threads talking about this radio, can anyone share some lights about this 12fg, is there any problem with it, cus i only see lots of talk about the 12z and 14mz but not the 12fg, maybe this is not a good choice?
Please advice guys?
Thanks a lot for any advice/tip i can get.

regards,

We have been using it. It is very feature rich and easy to program. I like the larger spacing between the switches and the ultra smooth gimbals. It uses a standard SD memory card for SW upgrades and additional model storage which is an extra bonus.
We have had absolutely no problems with it.

Hi Ray,

Thanks a lot for the heads up. I've heard(read) a lot about the updates, are the downloadable updates only for the units that originally come with the PCM modules and not the 2.4Ghz? And can i see it from the Tx itself what version is it?

regards,

Btw, someone is selling me an almost brand new 12fg, but it's an asian version(mode 1), is it easy to convert it to mode 2? If yes, how to?
And also i believe the idle and throttle hold switches are on the opposite sides of what i used to(throttle hold at the left top and idle on the right), can we also switch the switches? Is it dangerous to do so? And do i have to solder extention for the wires of those 2 switches?
Please help before i make my decision.
Thanks a lot

regards,
