Perfect! Thanks for the answer! :-)

Hyperion EOS610L Duo owners...
Does this charger report the actual amount of MAH delivered to the pack at the end of the charge?

I've been looking at the manual trying to determine this, but I haven't got an actual charger to poke around with and experiment!

Overall opinion of this charger?
I'm thinking of getting one when I go to a bigger heli (rex 450 only right now)

I just got mine today and, yes, it does report the mAh put back into the pack.

I've only charged about 5 packs with it, but I'm pretty impressed thus far. The user interface is a bit cryptic, but it's OK once you get used to it.

The important thing for me at the moment is that it works, unlike my Maxpro X6, which won't recognize cell 2 of any pack I connect to it. Even worse is the fact that it's a replacement for another Maxpro X6 whose discharge circuit died. I've been getting great support from RC-TEK as usual, but Scott told me that Maxpro won't warrant it themselves and he's none too happy about it.

Hi guys,
Buying a CelPro 10S. What do I need to charge an 8S Flightpower Brick? Will the CP10S-TP/PQ6S do this also? The plugs on the 8S pack are identical to the 6S.

I had to call FMA Support at: 301-668-4280, and they told me what adapter board I needed to charge the batteries I had. I only asked for my 6s and 3s batteries.

Give them a call, and they will let you know what you need. Or, hopefully someone here can shed some light. Whatever you do... I wouldnt just plug it in and just try! I tried that with a Cellpro 4s board (with my 6s pack), and smoked the 4S adapter board (or burned the copper traces).

I STILL LOVE MY CELLPRO 10S CHARGER!

Is it possible to charge four packs at the same time with the DUO then? Today I have an IMAX B8, where I have a special balance connector cable for conntecting them in serie, letting me charge my 2 x 3S batteries as a single 6S battery.

Does this mean that I could use the same kind of balance connector, to charge 4 x 3S batteries as 2 x 6s batteries in the two different ports?

Yes. The same caveats apply to each pair of packs as they would for any other charger: the packs should be the same capacity and age for best results. However, since each pair of packs charges independently, the two pairs need not be the same; for example, you can charge two 2200 packs on one side and two 2500 packs on the other.

Thanks to LockMD for the tip, on the 6S adapter boards.

I charged and balanced 2 identical Kong Power 25C Trex 450 packs today using the 6S adpater boards, on the CellPro 10S.

It took 1 Hour 7 Minutes (1:07), with a 7 AMP power supply.

Here are some screen shots I took during the process:

The discharge is performed through the main battery plug, not the balance leads
The DUO 2 & 3 can do 50w discharges per port
On 10S that's 1.35 amps and on 6S it means 2.25 amps

What makes you think that? It's done via the same LCD and control buttons - and the same battery connections - not separately

I still love my CellPro 10S! ...and that's been right for a really long time!

It's still charging all my Trex 500, 450 and 250 cells.

I've only had mine for a week - 1st time using it tonight (I'm a long time Duo user)
I can't believe how simple it is to use and how safe it is to use
You don't tell it how may cells or capacity or anything
And it does a comprehensive safety check prior to lighting up
The Manual states that there are 26 ways to incorrectly wire two pack to the charger for a duo charge!

So far - I'm very impressed

Keen to see the balance it achieves
Also keen to try charging via the balance leads

I'm looking into getting another charger because my TP-610 is giving me some problems. I will keep this charger in mind as I continue my research on Lipo chargers.

Also take a look at the iCharger 208B, more power (350W) to get things done, and up to 20A charge rates for charging those new 5C charge rate packs up quick. This means a 3S 4000 mAh pack could charged at 5C (20A) in well under 15 minutes.

Actually, no it wont charge that quickly

Performing 5C charges takes almost as long as 2C charges because the balancers can't keep up with the action and get the job done fast enough

The balancer discharge rate is still only like 300mah

The Hyperion documentation even states that due to this issue 2C is the sweet spot for fast charging

5C charging will also reduce the cycle life of the battery (more so than 2C)

I have been running 5C charge tests for many months, with 80% depleted cells/packs the typical charge time using the iCharger 208B is 12 to 13 minutes.

Constant current charging takes ~10 minutes to reach 90+% full (from 80% discharged) and current tapers to C/10, which terminates charge in constant voltage stage, after 2-3 minutes.

Note: this can very if balancing takes much longer due to poorly balanced or mismatched cells.

Estimated charge time by C rate using iChargers - this can vary significantly for other charger-balancer setups:
1C = 65-70 minutes
2C = 30-35 minutes
3C = 20 minutes
4C = 15 minutes
5C = 12.5 minutes
