you'd need these parts:

GAUI X5 FES CNC MAIN ROTOR YOKE SET (BLACK ANODIZED)
G-208501
$24.95

GAUI X5 CNC MAIN GRIP SET (BLACK ANODIZED)
G-208343
$42.99

GAUI X5 FES CNC MAIN GRIP LEVERS (BLACK)
G-208504
$15.95
GAUI X5 SPINDLE SHAFTS
G-208345
$5.99
FES UPPER SWASHPLATE LOCK ASSEMBLY (FOR 425~550 CLASS 8MM MAST)
G-204707
$24.95

$114.83 for the X5 head stuff. not much more than the 550 head, and well worth the extra 15 bucks IMO

FES 2 BLADE HEAD ASSEMBLY & SWASHPLATE LOCK (425-550 8MM MAST)
G-204682
$99.95

Nexgen,
Just noticed in your signature that your running Hyperion servos. How do you like them? I was just putting my shopping list together and was planning to use DH20X SCD on cyclic & DH20XGCD on tail with my spare DS760.

So, far my shopping list is up to $493 including spares and complete selection of front & pinion gears, a 2S pack for the Rx/Servos, 550 boom kit and the programmer for the servos. Only thing left is ESC & motor. I'm figuring $900 with a CC ESC & Scorpion motor & Beast X. Only $50 more than the FES kit and I don't think I'll outgrow these electrics.

I am looking at the 425 Basic Kit and was planning on using BeastX as the tail gyro and later adding the FBL head. Though, I think I might bite the bullet and go FBL from the get go. With the X5 head, would I also need different linkage rods or use the ones from the 425?

Never mind, I think I will hold off and consider the X4 FBL head when it becomes available in the US.

Hey GP. Come fly out at Dakota Ridge some time and you'll usually see a couple of Gaui Heli's. Always good to see other people's builds in the air.

I had a couple of the guys at Action Hobbies also invite me out there. Brad hooked me up with the 425 basic kit and electronics.

I went ahead and ordered the X4 head assembly from flying-hobby, as I'd rather start out with it being FBL. I'm hoping that I can use the 425 swashplate along with it.
