Default Compass/TracX Grips

Does 06-0101X = 06-0101Z?

The only difference is one says TracX, the other Compass.

I would call prostar. They could verify they are the same.

AFAIK they are the same. I would just give Mike a ring. He will know.

The TracX labeled 500 sized grips are identical to the Compass labeled grips (all parts are interchangeable between the two brands, except for the drive tubes, which are longer on the TracX versions).

The TracX head was manufactured by Compass as an aftermarket upgrade for the Trex 500 (which required longer drive tubes due to the distance between the swashplate upper deck and the head). There were a lot of posts on the forum, at the time, about how much better the Trex 500 flew with the TracX head.

Same for the 600 sized head/parts. The drive tubes on the 600 sized TracX are 5mm longer than the Compass branded versions (again, for the Trex 600).

I have had both.

Default Using one of each brand grip

I am rebuilding my tracx head right now but I could only find a compass grip. So if I have one tracx grip and one compass grip what tubes would I need to order? would either tubes work as long as they are the same? I appreciate any help on this as I would hate to have some kind of mechanical issues because I rebuilt the head wrong.

The Trac-X tubes are slightly longer in order to adapt to a Trex 500 head height. If you are using an Atom then you want to get the shorter ones, but either one can be cut down if needed or in a pinch. I've used 6HV/3D+ tubes on my Atom before. Just measure twice before cutting and use a fresh blade (and gloves! Definitely don't want to lose a finger over it!)
