Default AXE CP installing Assan GA250 gyro

Ok, have an older Axe CP that I'm trying to fix up, and as we know the integrated board is junk. So I'm planning to get the tail ESC recommended in the manual http://manuals.hobbico.com/hmx/hmxe04-manual-v1_1.pdf , and want to use this Assan GA250 gyro I have lying around.

My question is, as the ga250 is a digital-only gyro, will this work for my application and what settings will I need to be using as far as servo type and everything else ?

When the GA450 first came on the market only digital servos could be used, however, analog servos can now be used with the latest version. I have two 450 SEV2 clones each with the Assan GA 250 paired with a SuperTec (GWS) PARK HXP F servo. Spec 0.07/sec/60 kg/3.0, these servos are fast, strong and inexpensive.
Set the servo type option to default 1520us/70Hz [led flashes red 5 times]. Set the Delay to 50% [led flashes 4 times].

Ok, but I will be pairing this gyro with the AXE CP's tail motor, not a servo. I have no idea what servo setting I should be using for this, or does it really matter?

Can you hook-up the Assan to the AXE receiver and enter the setting menu? If you can get 5 red LED flashes for servo type and 7 blue LED flashes for delay. Then start with the 5 red default and 7 blue for delay.

You can enter the menu for servo type and delay without a servo or in your case ESC attached to the gyro out put. Under normal usage, i.e.,these settings are done without a servo connected.

Yea, I know I don't need a servo to access settings. Just unsure which settings to use.

Here's the latest manual, if your GA250 does not have all the servo types and delay settings, you will probably be able to get it re-flashed.
