Default A stretched nx4

A x5 tail boom and tt cut one inch longer than a nx4s and use a x50 Tail Control Rod Joint. You got to grind the tail rod to length. It comes out to be the same boom length as my logo400se and i run 473mm blades on it.

How's the weight balance on that?
You could get a Hurricane 550 rudder control rod and cut it down instead of splicing.
I was looking into it as well. alot of the Hurricane stuff is interchangeable as well. It was the base for the "X" series. I still have a hurricane and parts, been comparing

while i like teh idea of larger blades, how does it do CG wise ?
My stock is just about right with a 2200 2S Lipo on teh bottom tray and i don`t think i could get anything heavier there..

Nice flight man the nx4 doesnt looks so stumpy with the extended boom ..

what is the flight difference other than more floaty and better autos

i dont like the way that engine bogs down i think il stay with my 435 mm blades

also listening to the sound of that thing .. it sounds like its going to EXPLODE ! lol

@Bobbyra - I recently put the edge 473mm blades on my NX4 - no need to stretch when using stock tail blades..

Flies nicer and definitly autos better - lol

I's say adding longer blades ( 460-473mm ) on the NX4 is almost a "must" do....

It'll cruise around better, but you'll be able to bog it easier too.

I have edge 473 and sab 80mm tails in the x4ii without any issues at all. The NX4 I've just got will be the same, stock boom.

As soon as the edge have dried up completely I'll go 450 halos.

Is the stretch necessary to run 465's?

I know on the X4II you can run them without modifications ... and they are almost the same helicopter. Anyone know?

No need to stretch at all for 465 ...
BTW it should be nice if Spinblades was including some washers in their pricey blades !.... They are needed and they are not provided ... kinda lame IMO ....

They are included, but everyone misses them ... they are white and taped to the inside of the lid. I even missed them as well before Matt and JC pointed it out.

Check inside the lid of the box they came in ... check VERY carefully as they are incredibly easy to miss.

I don't have mine anymore ... But I remember checking the package carefully .. never found them. In the X4 II forum, Matt Nasca is saying that spinblades 465 are NOT delivered with shims ... German made yeah !!!!!.... give me a pair of shim to be able to use your blades guys !.........
Glad you had some spare to give me Jeff ....
Flying sunday Jeff ... Want to see the NX4 in flight ... might be cold tho ...
