Need some help from the experts!

Hey guys, I used to be active on these forums several years ago but life, work, kids and all that, took priority for a while and the Heli, while still in great shape, has sat dormant for all that time.


I have a TT X50T that still has a flybar head. When I went to fire it up the other day the Futaba GY701 screen was dark. After some googling, I see that unfortunately this is common. The YS runs well, and the gyro and governor seem to be functioning properly, but without being able to see the gyro settings, there is a pucker factor I don't want to deal with.



So my question to you guys, is what are my options at this point? I can't find a replacement screen, and I can't find the parts to go flybarless. There is a 701 on fleabay for about $170, but if its a common problem I'm not all that interested in more problems.



What gyros are out there that are heading hold, with governor preferably......?


Thanks for any help you can give, I can't bear to just scrap the frame and start over with another frame and use my 8717 cyclic and ys56, etc. But if that's whats got to happen, I guess it is what it is.
