Velocity 90 E conversion
I'm working on an E-conversion for the 90.
Anyone out there have any comments or wishlist of features to include? Thanks! |

Would this be for you or for production purposes? I too have been interested in a Vel 90e. I told myself I was going to wait a bit before trying electric but after IRCHA I got the bug and had to get a fusion...my favorited heli hands down!! Now I am wanting a 90e more than ever. A list of things I would like to see are:
-Slotted frames to allow for different pinion combo's (for the motor and pinion supports) -pinion support -use of most of the stock parts (tail, boom mainshaft skids etc. -side by side battery mouning (no 2 ft. long stick packs) -correct CG placement (no more weights on the tail or canopy) -all electrronics under the canopy similiar to the fusion retain use of the break away canopy. I kind of like the use of the tab idea on the velocity 50/fusion a vertical frame stiffener similiar to the CHP Definetly keep the three bearing blocks quick production Good luck and keep us posted Tone

Wolfdown..some people want conversions including myself regardless if a Fusion 90 may or may not be available by the end of the year.

I agree, I too would be interested in a conversion kit. If someone want to take the initiative a make one more power to them. I personally feel that we could use more upgrades and options for the 90 line. I really like the outrage line but am not looking forward in waiting for a fusion 90 so if you are going to make a conversion kit you can put me down for onel

I'm looking to do one with direct to swash for FBL only. If there is enough interest I would also do one with the stock servo setup with bellcranks for traditional Flybar heads.
