ZYX S2 is twitchy...

I know its not the mechanics or the RX/Servos because this heli flew fine with an S.

The thing is, I'm seeing random pitch and elevator movement, and on more than one occasion the heli went CCW just like when a standard HH gyro fails.

I've also noticed the low voltage indication (flashing red LED) comes on with in a couple of minutes after powering up.

Because I'm still in the bug chasing phase, I'm running a default 3D gyro setup with a Rate and HH gains set at 57 via the GyroSense function in my TH9x. Mode switching is slaved to the Gear (Aux5) switch.

I'm using a generic 40A ESC, 3S 2200mAH packs and analog servos. Rotor head is a Copter X FBL swinging generic CF blades. This exact configuration flew fine with a ZYX S.

What I'm wondering is, should I be using a separate pack? And if so should I use NiCads, NiMH, or LiPos? External BEC as well? Will a 1000mAh 2S LiPo pack be enough (I have a couple laying around...). Since this is a 450, I really need to keep the weight down.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Just a data point. I had trouble with analog servos and ZYX-S2. They started up OK, but later began buzzing and drifting, no control.
No trouble with digitals.
