Very nice dude I like that last one a lot!
Check this out. I got my stock canopy weight down to 2.4 grams but this T-rex one is 1.1 gram!

It's helping toward getting my heli down to 40 rtf grams goal

Also it needs no grommets, it seems to stay on by itself!

These canopies are great big thanks to you guys.

My problem is using Pepakura I get the fold lines when I print them, how do I cancel these? Thanks in advance....keep up the good work.

Go to settings at the top, select other settings. Then select "none" for mountain and valley fold lines.

Is that because you've developed carpel tunnel from folding all the paper canopies?

Default For window users...

I know it can be confusing as it was for me the first time but here is the easies steps for windows users.

1. Download this: http://www.tamasoft.co.jp/pepakura-e...ad/viewer.html

2. Also download cyllika's heinslet green comet on post #120 on this thread. This will give you a .pdo template to open up.

3. Download all the different textures that mfed, davy, and others have so kindly offered to us all in one folder.

4. Open the Pepakura software that you downloaded from step 1.

5. In Pepakura, go to "File" at the top of the window and go to "open" and look for cyllika's green comet template in .pdo that you downloaded from step 2.

6. Once that template is loaded, go to "Setting" at the top of Pepakura and select "Texture Settings".

7. Then click on "Specify Texture Image"

8. Now look for the textures that you downloaded from step 3. Now it gets fun! Pick the canopy you want to print. This is also where it gets hard because there are so many great designs!

9. Now go to "File" and "Print settings". Select 100% transparency so it will not print the folding lines. Select photo paper if that is what your using. Highest quality print. Once you hit print my compupter would ask me to adjust margins to your current printer , SELECT NO or else it will print too small and canopy will not wrap around battery.

10. Now that you have your print out, spray 1 or 2 coats of clear coat to give it that nice clean finish. Cut out. If the canopy is black, use a sharpie to blacken out the cuts for a cleaner finish. Tape everything up, the nose is the hardest part. Pierce the holes to mount, take a pic and post up here for all to admire!

my second attempt at a TDR style canopy... first attempt came out more like the old piccilo canopies(i think thats how you spell it). this one came out better... made of regular paper and tape, no glue on this one. any construction advice for future canopies will gladly be accepted
