Default Is MSHeli Italy gone..?

Maybe I'm late to the story, but I can't seem to find anything on it...if there is a story...is MSHeli Italy gone? The www.msheli.com and .it webpages goto some drone site.

Anyone know what's up with MSHeli? Amain hobbies has most of them in stock.

Thanks.

Look a little closer at the descriptions on Amain…

MSH stopped making kits a little while back and XLPower is continuing the product line and making improvements as well.

http://www.xlpower-rc.com/

Note that the Brain/Ikon FBLs were spun off as well and is now MSH electronics (or something)

Interesting. Thanks. Yeah, I did find the XL Power website, but wasn't sure of the backstory.

So, basically MSH has sold their Heli division to an existing chinese manufacturer...? It looks like customers can order directly from XL Power including parts.

The XL Power website looks pretty old with a copywrite date of 2016. Has anyone tried ordering from them?

A few years back, MSH went under. They made the protos helis and the brain/ikon FBL. The brain/ikon division was spun off as MSH Electronics. They are alive and well.
The protos brand was dead for a while until Ra from XLPower purchased all the IP and started producing them and making new models. XLPower is an extremely reputable and trustworthy brand. Don’t hesitate to purchase from them.

So after a bit of a hiatus, the MSH helis are back available under a new company.

^-This.
But... was it really "... MSH went under." as much as the owner (Corrado) got tired of the RC Heli business and decided to retire?
I know that OTS (who was an investor in MSH and the US distributor for the MSH models and Brain / Brain2) was kind of shocked to learn that he was selling out.

It’s was more like Alex was funding them and they weren’t producing any helis with the money so Alex pulled out and because he was funding it, MSH went under

Thanks for the backstory, guys, much appreciated. I've been out of the hobby for a few years now, but always loved the Protos and am getting back into it.

I've always loved Italian 'things', all my life, they're always innovative and and sometimes quirky. This same story has happened over and over, over for the past 20 years, it's sad to see. I think what really hosed them was joining the EU (not to get political). My biggest disappointment was Anonimo watches which were made in Florence for almost 100 years by Italian watchmakers. After the crash in 2008 they succumbed to 'whatever' (got old, tired, or finances..?), selling to the Swiss. That was a hard one to watch happen.

Thanks again. I may buy a 380 just to check out the new products.

The good news might be that SAB is based out of Italy and Oxy’s founder Luca is from Italy as well. Throw in that the MSH line lives on in one form or another…

If you use the coupon the V1's are $130 shipped, a total steal. I think they only have the yellows left last time I looked.
