Angry Tail control rod shaking .....

I would like to know your opinion about the problem that I have with my Hurricane 200.
I've bought used and I have not been able to fly because when accelerated starts shaking the tail control rod until the tail end starting pitch lever several times ....

I changed the main shaft and bearings are fine, but I do not know why they cause these vibrations, I hope you can help me

Thanks and regards,

other things to check for vibration are the tail shafts, they bend very easily. If you have the rigid 2 blade head then check the blade grip bolts aren't bent, again they bend easily. Also, very high rpm will cause the shakes in most 200's no matter how well set up. Most people find no more than 85 % throttle is needed.

And I know its obvious but perfectly balanced and tracked main blades are a must.

If you do change the tail shaft I would recomend the 17 tooth CNC tail shaft as it helps keep the tail smooth if your not doing smack 3D.

Thanks, I use the tail belt, and I test with the blades removed. I do not know where it comes from that vibrates the carbon tail control rod.

Thanks and regards

Rudyneitor, can you confirm that you checked all the points mentioned by Alphonso? Do you refer to the tail pitch rod and can you give more details? What do you mean by vibrate, move back and forth? What is the servo doing? Is the pitch rod parallel to the boom in neutral position?

To better understand my problem of vibration in the tail control rod of my hurricane 200 to break tail pitch lever, I recorded a video:

Thanks for the help and greetings

Well, thanks. The video is quite out of focus but from what I can guess it seems a problem of vibrations at high motor rpm. What value do you have the throttle curve set at? 85% or so should be the maximum allowable.

You also should dynamically balance the tail blades-- I did this and it really cut down on the high freq tail vibes.

-Remove the main blades
-Power up the heli with tail blades only, then feel the tail fin for vibe level (WATCH YOUR FINGERS!)
-Power down, put a small square of electrical tape on one tail blade, power up and check vibe level. See if vibes are better or worse
-Power down. Remove the tape and put it on the other fin, power up and see if it is better or worse
-Go back to the fin where the tape made the vibes better, now experiment with the size of the tape until you nail the sweet spot.

How loose/tight are the ball links? That is, does the entire tail control rod vibrate or is it more of a harmonic vibration (like a guitar string)?
