Default Two MQX boards burnt out

Hi,

I crashed an MQX last week and one of the motors stopped working. I tried it out this morning, I connected the battery and binded the controller and started to test the props then board started burning, smoke came off what I think is a transistor next to the power input for the damaged motor. I figured the board was toast so I went down to a hobby store and bought another board for $63. I asked the guy at the store to make sure that it works before I pay but he refused to open the plastic wrapping. So I went ahead and bought it. I brought it home and connected the new board up and the same thing happened. The transistor next to the damaged motor burnt out and the board would not work.

This leads me to believe that the motor is where the problem is, has this happened to any one you before? Before I but another board and motor I'd like to get some advice.

Thanks

You my have burned out the fet. This will happen if there is a short in the motor or motor wiring. IE if the insulation on the motor wires got scraped off and they are in contact.

You may want to send your burned out boards to http://www.megasmicros.com/category_s/1856.htm

You can get them both repaired for less than the cost of a new one. I have sent a few different boards and all have come back working great. Although I don't know what the shipping costs would be for you though.
