Default kontronik sweet spot.

Hello, i have a simple question.
im updating and reconfiguring all my electronics / ESC / TX / FBL.
i have 3 different products form kontronik and will like to know whats the sweet spot for the throttle curve using MODE 4 ..

Koby 40lv / EOX Motor 2214-3S-4100KV / lynx 300. (is a blade 300x but i only use lynx upgrades)
Heli Jive 120HV / Pyro 650-65 / Goblin 570
Kosmik 160 (not the cool)/ Pyro 750-56c / Goblin 700

EDITED Answer.

Sweet Spot

Koby 40 60%-70%
Heli jive 120hv 60%-70%
Kosmik 160 80%

Have just been setting up a Koby 55, and in the manual Koni recommend 80% for the throttle when using the gov.

its the same as the jive its 80% pwm but in order to get that you need to put 60% in your transmitter. it uses a formula to convert throttle percentage in transmitter to starting pwm.

starting pwm = (throttle percentage/2) + 50%

starting pwm is what needs to be around 80%

This is an interesting thread, glad it came up. I've been running a 80% throttle on my KOBY 55 for as long as I've had it. I had no clue that it wasn't set up correctly but it's been flying great. Time to reset my radio to 60% and start testing pinions.

Speaking of sweet spot, does it mean that the esc
Is working the most efficiently at those percentage
Including the motor or its only referring to the governor

Thks

both. it is the best trade off. ideally for efficiency you would want 100% throttle but that isnt good for the governor because you have no overhead. so you compromise by going 80% or so to get good governing at the best efficiency possible.

Hi Richard thanks but lets assume that we have a very strong motor
that doesn't bog than there's no need for governor right or we can reduce
governance by increasing the throttle percentage. Does this make sense ?

yes the more powerful the motor is relative to helicopter mass the lower the headroom requirement is needed. this needs to be confirmed with logs for each setup and batteries will play a role in this also.

No do not adjust ATV or endpoints, was incorrect info waaaaay back then. Use the calc without ATV adjustment.
