Default Batts

Evening everybody
I have just started brushing the cobwebs of the K2 and the 450 and have a question for all thos still flying the K2, when I upgraded to the extreme cf frame the K2 went from tail heave to nose heave with a 2200mAh what batts are you using and what sort of flight times are you getting.
I hope some of the old school crowd are reading this page still.

Default K2 Batteries

Hi Big T!

Both of my King 2's are still flying. One is flybarless with the CX-3X1000 unit. Really love that one. I have HK Typhoon 2215 motors on both Kings which are pretty powerful with headspeed about 3000 rpm. I really like the Turnigy 1600 MAH 30C 3s batteries with my setups. Gives up to 48 amps. At 3000, lasts about 5 minutes for a 3.5 volts / cell landing. Here is the link: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...Lipo_Pack.html

You can also try the 1500 Mah 20C's, not as much raw power but half the price. Work great with the Esky brushless motor. I have a few of those. My Kings fly much better with these lighter batteries than the 2100 or 2200's I use in my 450s. Makes better advantage of the smaller size.

Enjoy,

Default Batt's

Hey Big T, I'm still alive, flying helio's and reading the forum, I use a 1800mah 20-30c on the K2 (K9) and the CG is spot on with all the mods / upgrades I've done to it, getting app 5min of good flight time with the batt ending up at 3.7-3.8v, don't fly it as much as I once did or take it out to the club when I take the other children out to spread their rotors, just easy flying out in the front yard because as we all know about how hard it's getting to find some of the parts for them,
I'm getting better all the time with my flying and still practice on the sim at least an hr a day except on Sun when I go to the club to try out what I've been doing on the sim, it's been a long hard road getting to where I'm at now and still enjoy flying as much as ever-
