Fix a bad Switch on a Regulator?
I have a Duralite HD 7.5 down to 6.0 volt regulator with the switch and the switch has failed. Can anyone tell me if there is a quik fix/home remedy for this? Also what would have caused it to fail? Never been crashed or hard landed, all wiring loosely mounted with slack, mounted on zeal, only about 10 mo old......... or should I just replace it?

Well, what I found out once I got It out of the heli is, if you kind of move the wire around a little (the switch wire) right where it connects to the switch, the system will power up, with the switch turned off. When its in this mode, if you continue to agitate the wire, it will go to its fail safe mode, which is switch on failsafe, but it will reset the gyro! Not good. So, Im going with a replacement unit instead of attempting to spice in a new switch. Anyone seen this on similar equip? I'm assuming I had it too tight or pinched somehow in the airframe, and it must have been pulled on at some point.........
