Oh I can do a little spool up vid. I thought you guys wanted vid of it zooming around at 25MPH outside. I still need to get a decent camera that I can clip to the brim of a hat to film myself with.

I'M SO BROKE THOUGH. I really need to put a hold on heli purchases and get the damn GSX-R back on the road.

Hey Burnout,
where did you get your servo's from ? I am thinking about ordering 1 or 2 for spares for the MSRX's and i might just go ahead and order a couple to have as spares for my MCPX's too. You just never know when they might come in handy.

Will the stock transmitter work or do you need a DX6i for this BL conversion?

I'm still rocking the stock MLP4DSM TX. @ BigRHS I got mine from hopmeup on ebay. Best eFlite parts seller I've found shipping discount on multiple items is great too. If you do go through him put in the message that cj4coolguy sent you to him. I'm trying like hell to get a discount through him I've spent over $300 in his store in the last few months!

I put the MLP4DSM module into my Turnigy 9x and uses it to control my Blade products as well as the V911 and 9958 micro helis.

More info: http://www.hacksmods.com/2011/12/spe...e-from-hp6dsm/

Wired up the MLP4DSM module. Only three wires and a diode needed.

I buy from them all the time, as a matter of fact, i just got a spare motor for my MCPX's in yesterday from them !
I also buy a lot from Value RC on Ebay . Both places always have want you want with fast shipping. I usually get what ever it is I have ordered within 3 days. Value Rc will also discount the shipping if you buy multiple items.
Both have really good prices most of the time too.
With my LHS almost 1 1/2 hrs away, i have to get most of my supplies on line, but i always go to my LHS to buy my new helicopters when i get one. I like to try to help keep them in business.....

hmmmm....let me know if you ever get a dx6i and what settings you use on it. I am currently using the www.helicopterfun.com dx6i settings for my msrx and they work well.

Am currently saving $/assembling parts to do this as well. Damn, I hate being broke!

BB, forgot to ask, is a shortened mcpx landing gear? If so, where did you cut it.......across the weaker top struts? Wherever the mods are done on it, it looks great. If its not modded, where did you get it.

Ordered my motor today,,,,,,yay! Got a few parts to go (and need to build up savings), and gonna get a donor bird as well before I start.

The skids in the pics are stock mCP X skids. I'm running KBBD skids now... I broke a set though. Airtime is prototyping a set of low profile skids and I'm on the waiting list for those. I think I'm gonna get a set of the prototypes soon if I still can. I'll let you know what I think of em.

Wait until you see it now...

BTW I think my board is FUBAR'D. I try to take the shortcut to China a little to often acting the fool LOL. I'm fine if I take it easy but what fun is that???

I have the rkh frame, maybe that's it. My mcpx skids are about 1/4 inch too long.

Got a renter for renthouse today, more funds for BL try coming!

I have the RKH frame too... you can angle both of the mounting points for the skids tabs inward so they fit

Flip it yes, it'll do that stock though. Fly sustained inverted... NO. You need collective pitch to do that.

Gotta fudge with the carbon rod that keeps em straight. Just push it back about an 1/8" and you'll be okay. Stock ones seem to fit way better. The KBDD are a little more stiff it seems.

One other basic question, a real basic one....

What were the gauges of wires you were using for the build?
