Having said that, a 4026-1400 is 1770 watts according to the Scorpion website.
And according to OS, the 37 is about 1.3 Hp, roughly 1 Hp less than the comparable motor for the X4.

I wonder how much power the electric is making just 2 minutes into the pack though? I know these lipos hold out a long time and drop off at the end. A battery fades while a Nitro gets lighter and stronger at the end of its flight.

I like the NX4. This photo was taken before the debut and I promised I would not post the photo until it was, I guess it took a bit longer. This machine is REALLY light compared to what I expected. I very likely will be getting one of these machines, I was really impressed with it. Nice work Bobby and Gaui!!
Click the photo to see it larger, I uploaded it from my phone with TT.

I too want one of these, really badly. I think it's great to see that not only is nitro not dead, but is continuing to have innovation and R&D put into it.

It almost looks similar to folks putting .90 and 1.20 engines into 600s.
In that case, this thing will be a monster. So where's the pre-order button?

This thing is a BAD machine. I had one of the RCDN Nitro conversions for a 500 but after one good crash we could never get the vibs back out and on a T-rex 500, vibs cannot be had or it comes apart. This machine should be the bomb for a fun play toy for sure!!

I don't think Gaui does the pre-order thing do they? I hope they don't for the sake of my CC balance and the up coming expense of the SOCAL HF Event in Oct.

I was really into getting a Goblin 500 but this little gem has totally blown me away.
I'm looking forward to the flight reports but I will more than likely be having one of these in my future.

For me, it's all about stick time as I still consider myself a beginner, and have a lot to learn. It's much easier (in my opinion mind you) to top off the tank and go again, since I don't have the ability to charge at the one private field where I could fly a nitro bird, my club doesn't allow nitro.

That thing Rips with Bobby Watts at the sticks.
I bet the fuel consumption aint bad on it either. I couldn't tell what FBL unit he was using and it didn't say anywhere in the video comments.

How can this not be a winning combination for any nitro loving enthusiast. It should be economical (a relative term) with regard to crash damage, very budget friendly on the fuel bill, conveniently small enough to toss into any vehicle, yet large enough to work on. I've never owned a Gaui product, but I think that's about to change. Looks like a fun little pocket rocket of a nitro monster.
Wishing I had behaved better this year because I know I'll be writing to Santa for one of these!

CGY 750 with BLS 257 servos all around. OS 37 & Rotor Rage 30%. 6 minute flights with 15 flights to a gallon of fuel.

I wonder how much fuel this will carry? Walkera's attempt at a 500 nitro was both underpowered (used a .15 though) and didnt fly very long due to a small tank. This is a bit heavier though AFAIK.

This is the only nito heli that has tempted me, and as nice as it looks, I think I'll stick to electric.
I think the electric version can be just as light/powerful so I think the only advantage here is the ability to fly a lot without dealing with batteries and chargers. As far as crash damage goes, I think it's a wash. With an electric you risk loosing a pack, with a nitro you loose it tossing the rx battery then beating itself to death. All that said, that is by far the most impressive nitro I've seen in a while. schu |
