Default Help on lighting up boom supports on my trex 450

Guys I'm in the middle of building my first night rig on my Rex 450, since I have seen night flying for the first time at Ircha 2013 I was hooked !
Sorry for the long speech
Ok I have the Hk led strips and going to run off my flight pack all is great sofar , my questions what are the different ways to light up the boom supports, I have seen that glow wire stuff but not a fan of it looks ugly to me.I like neat stream lines neat stuff lol
I have searched the pics and u tube for ideas and when it came to the boom I'm stumped, tried the led strips but will be a challenge to keep the there and obviously to wide for the struts so it looks odd ??
Any ideas will be appreciated + and links will be most helpful also
Here is what I got so far

The question I have is why? You have nice clean lines right now and can see orientation well. Lighting up the struts would just (IMHO) look cluttered.

Look up "making LED head light rings" on YouTube. Instead of bending them, keep them straight and use to replace the CF rods.
