Default 5s

IM also curious about this
just finished building my 500 esp and can fit the 5s 4250 EVO25 flight power packs I use in my 8th scale and put the canopy on I havent flown with this battery just a few hovers to finish the setup.

The battery weighed 560GM and I have a 13T Pinion

Can I run this battery withour hurting anything and what should gearing be for this ?
I also have a Flight Power EVO30 6s2650 I had purchased for the 500 am I better off just running with
the 6S and forget about the 5S

Any advice is appreciated Thanks

i flew the bird with the 500 pack and seems to have plenty of power (i do not do 3D) the weight didnt seem to affect hover or anything it seemed pretty rock solid and the flight time was in excess of ten minutes
(forgot to start my timer) nothing was hot at all im running 11 degrees of pitch Ill upload a jpeg of the eagle tree log

So again Im not sure if running the 5s in anyway will harm anything or if there is a real reason not too fly them oter than weight ?

Not sure if you people seen the new frames but they are cut lower for the bigger packs and also have a aluminum frame brace. I just got the latest version with all of the up dates.

I also am flying the V-Bar system on my Trex 500 ESP.

Default new frame

I have 2 500 ESP frames bought at different times. The newer one has a much lower battery tray. Align listened for once.

I'm running with a Flight power 3350mAh 6s battery, and need to cut my frame like airnoob shows, the canopy does fit, but I have to have it at the correct position, 1mm up or down, the canopy wont go on..

Guys, with the 6s 3300 or 3000 pack hows your 3D ? Are you able to do tic-tocs, other tricks, that demands stick banging ? I mean is the bird not to heavy ?

I also have one of my 500 set up on A123's. They are a bit heavy and I only get 5min. of flight time. 14t pinion and scorpion 1900kv motor. No 3D, mild aireobactis .

I have the 6s 3000mAh 40C’s and they fit fine with the new frame (drop down battery tray) and stock ESP canopy. They also have great COG with a mini tail servo and the ESC under battery tray.

I have the 6s 3000's and they do make the bird heavy! I also have the 6s 2200's and there is a huge difference in the feel of the bird in the air. I do some tic tocs and stationary flips etc. With the 3000's they are possible just not comfortable. The 2200's fly great but with only 4 min of flight time.

I just built second one with new frame, CC ICE and BLS251 on tail.
I am testing the CG, have battery with 466grams, 20C 3000mAh Zippy. Because ESC do not fit under battery tray and the heavier servo, i am out of balance slightly with the battery at front as possible.
I have more than 2cm spare space at top of the tray.
Do not know total weight yet, but last season it was around 1880g.
I will probably give last chance to Zippy (20C did not lasted over 80 cycles) and get 40C 3000mAh, 524grams.
I think it should solve the issue, but the bird becomes more and more heavy as i throw better stuff in it...
