Default 700 Xxtreme 14s mah size?

What size packs are you guys using in this heli on 14s?? 4500 or 5000 mah?, does the extra weight matter on 14s? and what flight times are you getting?

Thanks

The 7s 4400 size is the aprox same weight as the 12s 5000 pack.

That's what I will do when the time comes.

The logo 700 runs a higher disk loading so going 14s 5000 is going in the wrong direction on adding weight overall weight.

Or are you going to 14s to run larger blades ? (753's ) Then the extra weight is less of a concern and bumping to 5000 might be a good thing to get some flightime back

I run 5000 of the Zippy Compacts. Same size & weight as a 4400, but in the 5000 flavor.

It's not just to keep weight down, I have the gens ace 4400 7s packs, and anything heavier would be bad because I have them as far back as they can go in the battery tray and the CG is perfect.

If heavier battery than these, you will be nose heavy since you won't be able to move them back far enough to balance

Drudging this thread up again....I've been battery shopping and was curious what you guys have found...

As I mentioned earlier, I currently run the Zippy Compact 5000's which weigh in just as the stats indicate at about 815g. I can't seem to find any competing battery even close to that weight, even in 4400 or 4200 flavors...

The Pulse 7s 4400's weigh significantly more @ 840g..

and the 4100's only weigh 50g less for a whopping 900mAh less energy.

The GensAce 4400 aren't much better at 826g...

Revolectrix (which I love on my 550sx) offers a 4800mAH, but it wheighs in at a whopping 880g!!!

Turnigy Nano Tech 4400 are similarly super heavy @ 895g....

It seems the added C rating adds a LOT to the weight, but in this application, anything above 30C is pretty much a waste (according to MrMel's calculator..)

Anyone else found any gems out there? I'm starting to think these crappy Zippy's are the best bet going for weight and mAH...

The sweet gem is the thor 4400 65c 7s packs for $130 each !

GA I recall will run you 150 ish

Sucks really , as thor is tied to ready heli.

Start looking for stock before there gone.

I build my 800 before the econo brands got real popular and went with nano tech 65-130s packs.
I have beat these packs and they keep coming back for more. ( 9% left after 4:20 flight is a ' touch ' over discharged .. lol ) a little softer these days but still delivering.

The Thors weigh 845g; the same as the Pulse 4400. Not surprising given they are the same battery made by GensAce.

Sounds right , got one here and it's 843g out of the package ( no ec5 )

I can't see 40-80 grams making a huge impact on the disk loading. L700 higher than the l800 but still well within reason.

I love my Revo's too!

I believe if you drop to 60C you will find 7S 4400's that should be of a good weight
