Helidirect seems to be marketing these servo's pretty heavily now. Anybody else seeing the big banners at the top?

I have had 5 515mgs. One stripped its gears while I was testing it on the bench. another broke in flight during a hurricane on my gob 500. These servos have a weak gear train.

Yeah...that does stink. Ive pushed mine pretty hard on the bench and its still running strong. I don't fly it hard enough yet to make it sweat there. I've had it push out the boom on my 450 a couple of times before I finally pinned it.

Yah I had them at 7.4 volts held them to see how strong they were and instead of stalling the gear broke.

They would be fine for a tail servo but even Heli direct is advertising them as cyclic servos.

I'm using one as a tail servo and just checked the tail due to a wag that it has and the servo is very gritty. Its not stripped and seems to operate fine but sounds bad. Its only got a couple flights on it and hasn't been crashed or bound up.

Yeah...if I still have any tail issues after my current rebuild, I'm going to swap tail servos to see if it makes any difference.
