My 610 does indeed stop and wait, then restart a few times after the majority of the charge cycle. Thats how I know its close. It stops, checks the cell voltages, and I think discharges the high cell until they are closer matched then ramps up again. The fan kicks off and on during this final stage.

This is one I have had my eye on (Power Supply) for some time now. Whle I am working nicely at 15 amps external, 30 amps is enough to charge two 6S batteries (if/when I get a 610 dual)

Yup, the resting voltage checks are very clear in that graph. Wish I could read the posts from the forum the graph was originally posted in. That charge cycle obviously went through the CV, but maybe they balanced. If the charger can really do away with the CV portion of a charge, I think I will have to get one I would like to see a graph of such a charge cycle.

I provided a link to a translated version of the web page in my earlier post so that you could read it!

On the Hyperion 0610/0720 chargers you can use the TCS feature to terminate the charge early. On the Junsi iChargers you can disable the balancing altogether if you like and you can set the termination voltage below 4.20V to abbreviate the CV phase.

oops... Guess I misunderstood the eliminating CV part. I thought you guys were saying there was a way to charge at CC to full capacity, which would be way cool with a 5c charge rate. I did find this discussion while looking for a full CC graph: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=930750 Looks like applying a voltage greater than 4.2 to a cell will damage it.

Simmer,

Have you gotten yours yet? Do they fit the Protos well? How do you mount them, stacked high or flat on their belly?

Thanks a lot,
Frank

So how about those odd new dimensions. Does it fit the Protos well? Will you mount it stacked high, or belly flat?

Thanks a lot,
Frank

And now we should also see how running 3s packs in series compares to a single 6s pack.

Would you mount it upright, or flat on its belly?

Belly? Velcro on the widest side, like the 6s2500 Evolite

Geez, you know your stuff

I am used to the long and thin shape of the Outrage packs.

Did not know that the Evolites had the shape of the new Hyperions.

Evolite 2500 6S: 114 x 41 x 55 mm

Hyperion G3 6S 25C: 111 x 36.5 x 55 mm

Thanks a lot,
Frank

Actually the Evolites have a strange configuration the cells are fat. However I really like them more than my EVO's, they seem to last longer. Its a shame I killed my two 6s3000 Outrage on my Trex 500, they fit nice and balance well on my Protos.

I hope these G3 will stand up to abuse... and when they say 4x life... do they mean 10 cycles or 50 cycles??
