Changing from castle to pyro. Anything to know?

I'm changing out my Castle motor for a Pyro 800-40. The ESC is a Kosmik, Fbl is a demon. At the same time I am converting from Spektrum to Jeti. I've had to reprogram 2 Kontronik Esc's on two earlier Jeti conversions. Is there anything I should know as to mounting the pyro in place of the castle? Any shims needed or pinion issues or ESC issues? Any info up front will save me some of the hard knocks kessons I had on the first Jeti conversions, which did not include the additional change of a motor.

I will re-calibrate the esc and run thru the setting in your esc to ensure that all parameter are setup fir the new motor. I will also re-program the governor as well.

I'd suggest one change at a time, that way if something goes wacky you'll be able to backtrack easier.

Motor should mount to the plate the same , XX only accepts one bolt pattern (which I think is common at this size )

As for the Kosmic - mode 1 /4 , reset bec, etc

No help on jeti , but you've done it a few times so I'm assuming you in the know.

Hi Marty, I did the Jeti conversion and it is flying great! I really like that radio. Ive converted 4 helis to it so far. I'll change the motor this week.

I made the change and like the Pyro motor a little better. I've flown the Scorpion for over a year so I can tell a difference. I picked up a little more head speed without adjusting the curves and it runs a bit cooler. Other than that, it's not a huge difference and if someone had not spent so much time with the Scorpion I don't think they would see a difference. I like it because both my 700 and 800 are the same now. Both motors fit perfectly so no changes were required.
