Default Pitch settings

I'm having a bit of an issue with a number of my Vortex's at the moment, it's an issue on 2 helis, but so if I can sort one then the other should be easy.

When I go through the setup I set the maximum pitch to be + - 11.5, my understanding of this is that I shouldn't see collective values greater than + - 11.5. When I finish the setup and see what the collective range is I end up with +12.6 and -11.5. The only way I've found to set the positive pitch to 11.5 is to adjust the pitch curves, but that doesn't seem to be right to me.
All the other stuff is done, so level swash, 0 degrees set correctly, 8 degrees of aileron and elevator etc etc.

Anyone got any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Pitch should be set and checked in Setup only, not out of setup. I've always just set it and forget it.

I appreciate what you're saying about it only being done in setup but I'd still expect the Vortex to obey those settings even when on the bench.

The symptoms I see when I fly the heli I end up with full pitch inverted climbouts being slower than right way up climbouts, and if the Vortex is putting 1.5 degrees extra pitch on then that would explain it. It also makes moves like tic tocs, rainbows and other pitch reversing moves hard because you have so much more postive pitch than negative.

Perhaps Angelos can advise because as I mentioned above, I'd expect the Vortex to obey the settings but it doesn't seem to be.

In operating mode there are cyclic mixes and stabilisation added that will affect what you see. If you measure pitch on the other blade you will most likely find that there is more. The only place you can reliably measure collective is in the menu where it is adjusting which overrides the cyclic control and holds it at a true zero. Whatever % collective you put in setup that is the exact amount that you get in operating mode. The same piece of software is used for both; there is no difference.

Thanks Angelos, I guess I'd not considered the corrective algorithms for cyclic and was just looking at collective, which I'd expected to be as set.
