130x keeps banking to the right.
My 130x keeps trying to bank to the right, any ideas???? My setup is microheli rotary frame with BlueArrow cyclcs, and DS76t on tail servo. It was flying just fine earlier today with a stock motor, which I had in while I was repairing my spin 8500 motor. Well I got the spin motor put back together and put it back on the heli. Everything looked good. Took it out to fly, and right off the bat, almost flipped the darn thing during take-off. Shut down, checked things out, all servos working good, good mesh on all gears. Give it another go with a quick take-off, get it in the air, and it just wants to bank to the right constantly, as if I had it trimmed hard to the right. Managed to land it, checked my DX6i, and it had zero trim, then I did a subtrim adjustment, with the motor unplugged and zeroed out the servo's, rebinded as well. Tried again, and still hard banking to the right. And again, I double checked servo operation, and they appear good, everything looks good. I can't figure it out. Any suggestions or ideas???

Sounds like a vibration problem to me. I'd take the blades off and spin it up. You might be able to feel if the vibes are coming from the spin.

If that doesn't work, put it back the way it was before, i.e. pull the spin and put the stocker back on. see if the problem goes away then

Put the stock motor back on, and it flies fine again. Inspected the spin motor, all looked good, Ran it off the frame, and it spins nice and smooth. So I put it back on the heli again, and again same problem, going to the right. This time I tried trimming to the left to counter it, but it's like the trim has no response. Tried the same thing with jacking the subtrim to the left, and it didn't help. Although I can manage to hover and counter with holding the stick about 25% to the left. And in hover, everything looks great, super smooth, no vibes. But let go of the controls, and hard bank to the right, about the equivalent of pushing the stick about 50% of it's travel to the right.
I haven't tried bench testing it without blades yet, so I'll try that next. Just really strange, I've got 4 130x's and a few red bulls, and never had an issue that I couldn't figure out. |

Thanks Andrew166, I bench tested without blades, and slipped the 3in1 board out of the frame during test, and then the issue resolved itself, So I remounted the board, and much better. I then changed the motor speed a little, and it cleared up perfectly. Must of been some harmonic oscillation occurring at the particular headspeed I was running that amplified through the frame.
Thanks again! |
